The Sandisk SD cards that can work in extreme climates are first spotted by AnandTech. The cards are the part of the ‘Industrial’ line and can operate at temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C. According to the reports from The Verge, the new SD cards are available in three variant 8GB, 64GB, and 128GB and are specially designed for use in industrial environments such as surveillance cameras, drones, factory automation and other network equipment. Not only these, the SD card also features fast read and write times of up to 50/80 Mb/s. Such a high speed confirms that they will be capable of high bit-rate video streaming for applications like surveillance. The Industrial card also features an automatic read-refresh feature which makes sure to protects files in flash storage from becoming corrupted. So, overall the specs are quite impressive.
