We have heard quite a bit about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Alpha, which is apparently going to sport a metallic body and will be a direct competitor to the next-generation iPhone. Details about the handset have been scarce but the last leak indicated that the handset will sport a 4.8-inch 720p display. This piece of information was confirmed today by Samsung’s owns developer console, which listed the handset’s name along with its resolution in all its glory. The leak also confirms that the Alpha would sport LTE connectivity.
The Galaxy Alpha is rumored to sport a 4.8-inch 720p Super-AMOLED display, a fingerprint scanner, 32GB of storage space and a microSD card slot. It will compete directly with the iPhone 6 which is rumored to sport a 4.7-inch screen. The highlight of the Galaxy Alpha will be its build quality as SamMobile’s source have indicated that it will sport a metallic body, something which Galaxy owners have asked for a long time from the company. The device will, however, come with the same dimpled plastic back as seen on the Galaxy S5 and other recent devices from the company.
