The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge have gone on sale today in 20 countries across the world, while the HTC One M9 is now available for purchase across all the carriers and retail stores in the United States, United Kingdom and Europe. The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge went up for pre-order in the United States and other major markets towards the end of last month. The One M9 also went up for pre-order in major markets across the world around the same time....

Industry analysts suggest that Samsung could release Note 6 earlier than the iPhone and it may be as early as July! This would be earlier than the September launch of the iPhone 7; And they speculate this is based on the popularity of the Galaxy S7 (it has sold an estimated 9 Million units in barely a month), and the price drop of the Note 5. According to Bloomberg, the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is expected to be released earlier as Samsung rides on the success of the Galaxy S7....

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active has already leaked in pictures before, but today, a high resolution press render of the handset has leaked giving us the clearest look at it yet. IThe Galaxy S6 Active will be ditching the beautiful and premium design and build quality of its flagship sibling to achieve its ruggedness. A team of researchers over at Samsung’s Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT) have developed a unique battery material from graphene that enables a 45 percent increase in battery capacity and 5x faster charging speeds compared to traditional Li-ion batteries. Samsung says that a battery based on the “graphene ball” only requires 12 minutes to fully charge. Additionally, the battery can maintain a stable temperature of 60’C which makes it ideal for use in electric vehicles....

Samsung today unveiled its next-gen flagship Exynos chipset, the Exynos 9820. The octa-core chip features three different clusters of CPU to manage different types of workload efficiently. Apart from coming with a massively improved GPU, it also has a cutting-edge LTE modem with support for up to 2Gbps downlink speeds. The tri-cluster of the Exynos 9820 comprises of four low-power Cortex-A55 SoC along with a dual-core Cortex-A75 cluster. Then there’s also a third CPU cluster comprising of two of Samsung’s own fourth-generation custom CPU cores for heavy loads....

Samsung’s next big thing is here and it is known as the Galaxy Note 4. The company’s latest phablet is every bit a monster as it was expected to be and packs in quite a lot of novel new features. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes with a brand new design that is reminiscent of the recently unveiled Galaxy Alpha. Researchers say that the material [nanowires] are used in the batteries which are thousand times thinner than a human hair and is very conductive. It also has a large surface area to support the storage and transfer of electrons. Nanowires are very brittle and don’t normally hold up well to continued discharging and recharging or cycling. They enlarge and become brittle in a typical lithium ion battery, however Le Thai’s team fixed this by plating a gold nanowire in a manganese dioxide shell and then putting it in a Plexiglas like gel in order to enhance its reliability....

According to a new “insider report”, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will break cover on the 3rd of September, following in the footsteps of its predecessors which have always seen a September launch. Just a day after Samsung confirmed to Reuters that it will be shipping its own digital assistant with the Galaxy S88, the Wall Street Journal reports that Samsung is considering adding a dedicated button to the handset to quickly trigger its AI-powered digital assistant. Samsung has just announced the new Crystal Edition Galaxy S5 which comes studded with — you guessed it — Swarovski crystals on the back. The smartphone will be available starting next month in South Korea with other markets expected to follow soon.
